I don’t understand it. Andy Hinchcliffe on sky makes football sound so easy & blames the players if they aren’t messi esque but when he was a player he was absolute dog shit! To call him mediocre would be too kind! He was a donkey (apologies to all donkeys) #AndyHinchcliffe #skytv #Coventry #M’Boro

Just heard your Ramblings on catchup. What a lovely listen! Warm, fascinating and both joined to that incredible landscape. My folks retired to M’boro and I wd drive mum to Clench common often and stare at the beyond - and walk towards Martinsell. They are scattered there at clench.

It's funny how they completely bypassed Antioch and Lavern, in the consumption of M'boro. Just making it Franklin East.

2002 - Blackburn win League Cup🤬sit in midtable for 10 years before relegated.

2004 M'boro win League Cup - reach UEFA Final 06 but relegated 09.

2013 - Swansea win League Cup - relegated 2018
2013 - Wigan win FA Cup - relegated 2013

2016 Leicester win league 🤬(win FA Cup 2021) relegated 2023

Leicester never needed to get out of first gear to beat us tonight - our defence did the hard work for them.

No creativity in the middle. Only 2/3 of our attacking 3 offered anything. Substitutes offered little to no impact.

Derby deserved nothing from that.

M’Boro up next…

[December 9th, 1985] Mick Mills led Stoke to a 3-2 victory over M'boro, extending their winning streak to three games. Despite reports of pressure, Mills said he feels confident and in control, praising the team’s strong form.

Pretty sure I went the wrong direction for a short distance on the service road here. There aren't (or weren't) signs saying the road was off limits. I took it under the runways to Hangar Lane, and then wound through that area until I got to the wonderfully safe M'boro Road bike lane.

Happy to be in a support role for the M'boro raging team.

@tlocdoc.bsky.social At Vicarage Road this afternoon to see the Hornets take on the mighty M’boro! Hope all well.

Maybe? Not really sure, we backtracked to M’boro pike for a while and then cut through side streets to get back to Elm Hill Pike but it took a long time, it can’t have been any faster than waiting for the crossing to clear.

WTAF, Freddie?

How are pedestrians and folks with disabilities supposed to even get there to apply for their free bus passes?

And they're supposed to go way out on M'boro Pike without a clear way to find out in advance whether they qualify for a pass?
I think our practices as a city should reflect our values and priorities. Midday availability at a non-central location with ambiguous criteria? We’ve fallen short here

It’s not even ADA accessible from transit 😭😭😭

Fabulous! (as an aside I met with someone earlier today who came clutching the holding cross you gave her many years ago when in M'boro. It clearly has helped focus her mind in prayer and discernment over many years. Not the first person who has done that - how these things echo over the years...!)

In the last 10 seasons we've won 19/22 cup ties v lower league oppo (the losses being M'boro, Sheff U FAC + Colchester LC) but the wins are rarely emphatic and we've often made hard work of them...
Tamworth
Morecambe
Newport
Rochdale
Wycombe

all had unnecessary jeopardy. So 'buckle up' tonight!

There is only ONE type of solution that works to alleviate congestion in a spaces constrained area like BNA, and that is providing alternatives to arriving by car that let people skip the traffic. A train would be nice, but for now, why not a shuttle/bus from M'boro Pike or some secondary location?

Same has applied to Dutch league for >25 years. Afonso Alves to M'boro was considered eye-watering profligacy, decadence even, at £15m.
For a long time his name was synonymous with performance in Eredivisie corresponding poorly to the EPL. Better than goal a game for Heerenveen --> 1 in 4 at PL.
Ruben Amogrim.

It's intriguing and funny that self-regarding, highly paid executives never learn that hiring managers to replicate styles that won games in unbalanced or uncompetitive leagues is a dumb idea. The lower teams in the Portuguese league are akin to League One sides.

I won't be driving on Lafayette/M'boro if this shit actually happens. I prefer not falling in a sinkhole.

McGree eyed a M'boro offer.

We moved to next on list & got O'Riley 2days (?) later.

An actual coordinated strategy, manager incl'd, with a list of targets executed quickly.

This all quite alien to current #Celticfc recruitment.

Scattergun, with no expert of the field coordinating it. The CEO? 🤷

I’m old enough to remember when State Senator Ketron was ridiculed for wanting to build a monorail along I24 btwn M’Boro & Nashville. Something that might have actually helped reduce congestion. Truly the dumbest people in the dumbest timeline.
Gov. Bill Lee announced a deal Monday with Elon Musk's tunnel construction firm, The Boring Company, that will create the Music City Loop, an underground tunnel that will connect downtown Nashville and the Convention Center with Nashville International Airport.
