#Luxuries
Idk man it's a load of shit to consider real estate as a personal good and we all know it, fuck off, it's what prevents us from making meaningful change and providing the most beautiful public luxuries any society has ever seen to and for all

For one person that's about $469 a month. $1877 for a family of four. Affordable? I don't think so. Not for the average working family. They still have to pay rent, utilities, basic clothing, and don't forget health care and prescriptions if needed. Guess those are luxuries now.

I'd be willing to pay more on luxuries if it meant shafting the peado terror empire personally.

Plant-based diets “can support healthy living at every age & life stage” (British Dietetic Association). Therefore, meat is a luxury that should be taxed at the same level of VAT as other luxuries.

Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive. - Dalai Lama

He only wanted to keep the leadership position (not the duties of it) and the taxpayer funded house, chef, nanny, chauffeur, housekeeper, etc. He is, after all, full of himself & feels deserving of such luxuries.

I do miss having a craft store with DMC thread nearby. That is one of the few luxuries in the US that is hard to find here. Embroidery is not a common hobby in Seoul.

... although maybe I'm looking up the wrong thing on Coupang.

One day we will live in a world where people don't take necessities from the masses to give luxuries to the classes. It won't be tomorrow. It may not happen in my lifetime. But one day, we will rise up and let love for all win. This is the hope that keeps action alive

It's something like that spending money on commodities would create a demand for the labor-power of wage workers.

IDK I feel like spending on luxuries is tied up in overproduction and unemployment.

monopolies of nobles, but like most human systems it falls victim to the very thing it was revolting against. So today capitalism has outlived its usefulness. It has brought about a system that takes necessities from the masses to give luxuries to the classes."

We cannot understate how Dr. King's organizing for racial equality and civil rights shaped our nation. In addition, we must also remember Dr. King's anti-war, pro-labor, and democratic socialist stances, which political leaders intentionally water down and sanitize to this day.

What I like about The Greek as a villain is that he acts like a softspoken, kindly grandpa, but you can tell from the glare when Frank threatens him, that he's imagining all the ways he can kill Frank. Also, it's funny how the Greek dresses modestly but tells Frank he should spend money on luxuries

Humans can choose 1 of 2 paths:
The one we're on, which goes DIRECTLY AGAINST 750,000 years of history that homo sapiens is a communal species that thrives on shared goals & equitable distribution of the NECESSITIES of life; NOT luxuries, necessities.
Or we can find our way back to Earth's reality.

It's on me, huh?

It's on me that NATO is white, and politicians suddenly care about our image when NATO is upset?

It's on me that the Global South is not white and is exploited constantly without Gallego or any politician pointing out that our luxuries are built on their suffering?

My pocket is in a bag because we don't get such luxuries in our clothing, but my keys are always in the same place cos otherwise they will be lost in the void forevermore (tbf this has reduced somewhat since I obsessively bought Tiles for anything that would be expensive or inconvenient to lose)
