Pigeons are often underrated. Today, this pigeon was watching me as I looked through my kitchen window. He was waiting for food.

Hi All. My offering for today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme of #Iridescent - is this very smart (and shiny) Sri Lanka Blue Magpie - an endemic species to that island's jungles. #Birds #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #birdphotography #canon #photography #nature #naturephotography #magpie #srilanka

I love the whole conceit that pops up where people and machines speak to each other with these barcodes. Fascinating way to express that something weird is happening auditorily in a visual medium

Irridescent bubbles float in the air,one #looms above,
a perfect circle, increasing in size, climbing higher until it bursts.Who's surprised? Two sides must agree, see the other's point of view or we'll need an exorcism to reclaim our souls;recognize humanity's faces before it's too late

The bright green gas afaik is smoke, but they are using it to mask the nasty stuff.

The nasty stuff's usually a sickly green, rainbow, or irridescent looking color. In the thread I post about it, I use the LA term "Portland gas." Portlanders in 2020 called it fed gas (and I think Ferguson did too)

In Hartura, there are cousins to the dragons who watch over the great seas. Born of the first drop of rain, they have irridescent scales and are shaped like a cross between a #seamonster and a #dragon.

Day 13
Today we're going to a different world, under the sea... 🌊🐬🐠 Aquatic animals! Surely some of them have a porpoise in some of your stories? 🤔

Kererū / kūkū / kūkupa: New Zealand pigeon. The kererū is a large bird with irridescent green and bronze feathers on its head and a smart white vest. The noisy beat of its wings is a distinctive sound in our forests.

I am all about taking the little joys where I can find them right now and if that means matching scissors to my yarn then match scissors to yarn I shall.
