It almost happened to Mall 205 right before the pandemic. Unfortunately, those development plans fell through. I would be surprised if the Gateway site was not chopped up within the next ten years.

I thought I "got" product development, and it being the next evolution of iterative development/exploring/learning, always work on the right problem. Then I learned it can be simplified to agile development, and _include_ corporate interests, and suddenly it makes sense why all software become shit.

One person used some GenAI textures on some lamp post textures two years into development. They removed them before launch or just after because they didn't know. This was news back in April that people are blowing out of proportion now because obviously GenAI is awful and E33 swept awards season.

I was bored so and it's snowing so I went looking to see what AI stuff there is for game development to see if it really poses a threat to actual game development.
To me it just looks like they're riding the gravy train. Pay for this. Pay for that. These companies will be gone soon enough.
