An economist fighting conservative and right wing misinterpretations of economic theory. Why? Because bad economics generates confusion and conflict. USA. 💙

On the issue of inapt criticisms of neoclassical welfare economics and its false, misleading, but ubiquitous misinterpretation I call bad economics in the conservative style, I suppose one of the main ones must be attacking philosophical utilitarianism. (11) #EconSky #ethics
To anyone acting this year in the interests of household harmony and dutifully visiting horrible conservative, right wing fascists and Nazi relatives and in-laws in rural hamlets and small towns, I applaud your determination and hope it pays off for you. I recommend the wine. Any wine.

Funny to recall conservative, right wing outrage at Ms. Clinton's twee complaint "half" of Lord Dampnut's Republican supporters belonged to a "basket of deplorables" only to have them work so damn hard for years after to prove it was really most or all of them and "deplorable" was putting it mildly.

On the topic of American fascists wanting to suppress discussion of American fascism, I saw that Hitler-salute throwing establishment elite fascist Mr. Musk suggesting labeling non-violent people as fascists, or Nazis, should be treated as "incitement to murder." The creed that shall not be named?

Speaking of pronouns, I find it interesting that in German the old formal / polite word for the singular you is they, having passed formerly through a stage in which the polite word for singular you was plural you, similar to a more proper sort of "you all" in American English. Just crossed my mind.

I find the link between criminality and conservatism / Republicanism / fascism quite interesting. It goes with contempt for democracy and the US Constitution, of course, but one supposes simply living in any human society would give one some appreciation for the law. Remarkable people.

We're really having a debate about whether US military personnel should follow illegal orders? Incredible how much conservatives, Republicans hate the rule of law. I mean, I get it. They're fascists. The only law they accept is whatever their fascist cult Leader declares in the moment. But still ...

Am I hearing Lord Dampnut may be physically ill in addition to being morally, intellectually, emotionally, mentally ill? One can only image the outpouring of joy his demise by natural causes might bring. A greater outpouring of joy than would be the case for most, surely.

I saw some southern Neo-Confederate, anti-democracy fascist, I think Rep. Jackson of the Magadonian province of Texas, describing our conservative, right wing, establishment elite owned, Republican boosting corporate media as "liberal rags." It made me think how everything is relative. To a Nazi ...

I saw a post where Lord Dampnut proposed a new word to apply to his loyal minions: "Trump Republicans." I mean, the word for Trump Republicans is just "Republicans," isn't it? I know he's a fascist and an establishment elite fat cat, but just how much fawning adulation does the man require?

Saw a photo of that Mr. Mamdani chumming it up with Lord Dampnut for a photo-op and now I'm starting to get a bit worried about the man. "I get along great with fascists" is hardly a good look for anyone IMHO.

I had a funny encounter with a rather clueless older lady the other day who just couldn't fathom why some are upset with Lord Dampnut. I suppose if one looked at the infotainment outlets she likely uses for "news," one wouldn't expect anything else. It's practically elder abuse. Shameful.

I saw some Nazi bimbo talking about the "sanctity of our military." It's yet another expression of Christo-fascism, as in Nazis (ostensibly) for Christ. They would replace the US Constitution, the law, with the Word of God as interpreted by fascists and their faux divine Leader Lord Dampnut.

Whenever I see the pouty, doughy, monstrous visage of Lord Dampnut expressing his infantile egoism, greed, dishonesty, lust for power, I see the face of every damned conservative Republican right wing economist I ever encountered in the 1980s and 1990s. I'm just saying. He's typical of his type.

I saw a post from fascist Leader / crime boss / conservative, Republican president Lord Dampnut in which he transformed an admonition by Democratic politicians to the military to disobey illegal orders into an admonition to "disobey his (Lord Dampnut's) orders." So legality is not in dispute?
November 25, 2025 at 4:13 AM
I'm still laughing about how a judge has dismissed the case against former FBI director Comey despite Lord Dampnut applying his legal and forensic skills to pronounce the man "guilty as hell." Is Lord Dampnut just making up stuff again, or did some great unnamed legal minds tell him that?
November 25, 2025 at 4:03 AM
"Fat Nixon." It's funny, right? Closer to Mr. Reagan though, isn't he? Anyway, he's got Reagan's portrait hanging on the wall behind his desk in the National Bordello, not Tricky Dick's.

When older critics of conservative economic policies, as Mr. Reich, get involved, I find their message is often muted or distorted by their softness for conservative (also "neoliberal") market utopianism, the idea conservative economic ideas would be great if not for activist government and so on.
November 24, 2025 at 8:43 PM
Ghost of a dead Nazi, "Our murder camps were very efficient." Conservative Americans under the sway of bad economics in the conservative style, "That sounds quite lovely because efficiency is good and ensures optimal use of scarce resources."
November 24, 2025 at 6:46 PM
So "express lanes" are just a way to introduce allocation by economic power into what was formerly non-market allocation applied equally to all? Basically, the rich have special roads built just for them; while economically struggling people sit in traffic in the old ones, unless a special need.

I get the inclination to ignore conservative, Republican voters and rant about semi-mythical " people at the top." However, I think it obscures the source of our current rot in the views, values, morals, ethics, beliefs, sentiments of the voters, in bad economics, bad religion, racism, and so on.
November 24, 2025 at 3:03 AM
It's odd given conservative, Republican voters ostensible hatred for experts, scientists, physicians, academics, that Lord Dampnut would make a risible appeal to authority in the form of "many great legal scholars" he claims say Dems should not have advised people against following illegal orders.
November 23, 2025 at 7:12 PM
I saw a funny post from Homeland Security ascribing to illegal immigrants a remarkable array of social and economic problems conservative, Republican policies have generated including high prices (for housing / cars / groceries / healthcare,) not enough jobs, violence against women (good one), etc.
November 22, 2025 at 4:50 PM
I saw an article saying Lord Dampnut is gutting federal protections for so-called "whistleblowers." It makes sense because if it's one thing conservative, Republican voters hate, it's open, honest, government where federal employees can safely report malfeasance. They prefer corruption, crime.
November 22, 2025 at 4:37 PM
I find it very fascistic the way conservative, Republican president Lord Dampnut tries so damn hard to stir up animosity between Muslims and Jews in the USA, as per his recent comment any Jew who supports Muslim Mr. Mamdani must be stupid because Mr. Mamdani ostensibly "hates Jews."
