An economist fighting conservative and right wing misinterpretations of economic theory. Why? Because bad economics generates confusion and conflict. USA. 💙

Just my lighthearted way of suggesting fascists defined as people who support fascism for some old reason, which may or may not involve having any actual understanding of fascism, may be more prevalent than you seem to imply. I suppose there are a great many such practical fascists in the USA.

Fascist is as fascist does, remember that.

The article I was reading was the following: Scientists find evidence that an asteroid contains tryptophan. Jacopo Prisco. CNN. November 27, 2025. At www.cnn.com/2025/11/27/s... on that date.

It suggests the building blocks of life on Earth are floating about space and quite possibly or let's just say quite likely have led to life elsewhere. My condolences to any egoistic religious sorts. But hey, they still have a few the haven't found yet, so ...

The issue is the conservative one of not pure, unrigged, utopian Free Markets versus markets distorted by activist government involvement; the issue is who is providing the required normative inputs into the economic system and how. It's not the "rigging," per se, but the who, how, why of it.
November 28, 2025 at 3:58 AM
Successful economic systems require inputs from voters through democratic government on the normative issues related to resolving interpersonal conflict of preferences as over resource allocation, economic power, extent of the market, etc. They must be "rigged" by voters to perform well.
November 28, 2025 at 3:56 AM
They think they're doing great out there, but the more they talk, the more the people who read them wonder if anti-democracy right wing fascism in risible pursuit of "unrigged" markets might not be such a bad idea after all. If they could just one day stop, retire, go away.

It's why all true American patriots, proud supporters of democracy and the US Constitution, recoil at the sight of American conservatives, Republicans, consider them not truly American in spirit, values, morals. Conservatives, Republicans should go somewhere else.
November 28, 2025 at 3:44 AM
Conservative, Republican voters worship the establishment elite, the rich, the powerful. It's why they oppose democracy, support elitist fascism. They want to be ruled by the rich, the establishment elite. They want a King. A more enthusiastic pack of boot-licking slaves has rarely been seen before.
November 28, 2025 at 3:42 AM
How conservative, Republican voters obliterated a country using an American president to do the deed.
November 27, 2025 at 9:51 PM
The same corrupt, right wing, conservative, Republican Supreme Court that previously ruled fascist Leader Lord Dampnut is above the law when discharging his duties as president? Good luck with that.
November 27, 2025 at 9:42 PM
Best wishes to you. Stay strong. Mentally cancel and disengage as much as possible. It will end soon enough.
November 27, 2025 at 8:33 PM
Just simplistically demanding whatever system one lived under (or really one professes to have lived under, as our real system is as often as not misunderstood or falsely characterized to appeal to rich people's egos) continue forever is not reasonable. It spells failure for the future of humanity.

Yes. One needn't be a Marxist to appreciate evolving productive technology, the so-called "means of production," may require evolution as well in economic values, systems, policies, as perhaps news ways to think about allocating resources and whatever work needs doing.
November 27, 2025 at 8:26 PM
As a fascist / gangster, Lord Dampnut's power does not rest on the goodwill of the people; it rests on economic power mostly, deals with establishment elite fat cats domestic and foreign, the co-opting of our judicial system, his ICE army, and control of institutions including police, US military.

Conservatives, Republicans don't give a damn about children and don't really even see them as people, only as possessions of their parents, hence Sen. Johnson's quip about not caring about "other people's" children (contrast to just "children"). They would use the children to punish the parents.

I think The Nation sees that quite well, it's simply that a good part of The Nation, the conservative Republican part, which indeed constitutes the majority of voters, wants the democratic USA to fail, wants it to not survive. That's why people call them traitors of the most deplorable sort.
November 27, 2025 at 6:18 PM
Interestingly, Mr. Musk expressed no such reservations about calling other people radical leftists, extreme leftists, communists, Marxists, demons, traitors, or indeed anything at all other than fascist or Nazi. I mean, of course.
