Hi! I'm Steve. 14+ years ago I accepted a Night Shift QA Role at 2K Games via Craigslist (Yes, really). Since then, I tested 30+ games, and at my last studio, I transitioned into working in Production!

So over the weekend, my roommate and I held our first “Shit You Should See” movie night, showing “Sorry to Bother You”. We even did little themed cups to go with our mixed drink of the night, “White Voice”.
Can’t wait to do our next one, with a different, surprise movie nominated by our attendees!

I too, wish to have a take on Square Enix's desire to have gen AI to automate QA, and I'll toss in a bonus one.

Take 2: I've seen some bug reports that appears to be either auto-translated or written with gen AI. Spoiler, they aren't great.

So my current team is awesome, but with Q4 being always fun to job hunt during, and my contract potentially ending at the end of the year (though maybe it gets extended, who knows) I’m starting to look for new production or QA Leadership opportunities for early 2026.
