Suspect the author might have a different interpretation.

In the third image, this is a transcript of a video interview where he highlights a book cover of Lolita which sexualizes a young girl.

In the fourth, he’s using a term from the book used against Lolita to refer to a real life girl.

And a huge amount of it flows from basic, curiosity-driven science. Much of the blood clotting cascade was delineated across the hall from where my lab now sits. On the same floor, protein kinases and phosphatases were discovered.

Sometimes healing looks like writing a Backrooms comedy with a brat persona that ends up pretty steamy, but in the weirdest and most hilarious way. (Snippets are SFW)

You do not unleash the Backrooms on the brat. You unleash the brat on the Backrooms 😌

My favourite Dickens anecdote - sadly, a huge exaggeration of events - is that when the final instalment of The Old Curiosity Shop' (1841) was arriving by boat at New York docks, crowds jostled each other and shouted at the sailors hoping for spoilers about the ending.

That much is true, but

…and that’s a wrap on the SILVERBROOK Tour!!!

Twenty schools (!), almost 5000 students… what a time!!

HUGE thanks to my team at Hachette and all the incredible booksellers, teachers and librarians who made this happen! Even bigger thanks to all the young people for their attention and curiosity ☺️

Then look at Quantum: a huge fraction of the work is absolutely curiosity-driven, but it's squarely in bucket 2. This is because there is a Strategy and a Programme! But that's an administrative question which has nothing to do with how the research is actually done.

I used to live in Croydon, where the MV was rumoured to be filmed. There was a huge fire there during the riots in 2011, and a 144 yr old family business was burned down. Out of curiosity, I looked up the date it happened on swift lore (8/8). That day, she was papped shopping at a mall.
i actually really want the opalite mv to take place in a mall because the august of it all would be so intriguing

plus this could’ve been an easter egg esp if travis is in the video LOL

nominating a judge a huge honor senators are thrilled to highlight.

why is the norm going away? that’s the kind of curiosity the media has been lacking since 2008.

it’s a natural question but we don’t asked natural questions - we ask loaded questions where we know the answer to preform for.

Charlie Jane joyfully talked about a huge range of books for WaPo, and now yet another outlet celebrating diversity and curiosity in fiction is lost. Definitely sub to her newsletter, because it's a great read every time.
I guess I'll have to do more of that in my newsletter, which has a vastly smaller reach than the Post did, even now.

Speaking of which, if you want to help me feel better about losing this gig, please subscribe!

Happy Dancing
We're dancing because we're happy. Or we're dancing in order to become happy. Or we're happy that we can dance. One of those.

Good luck Dan. I remember your curiosity and great questions while meeting with North & South magazine in New Zealand, not long before we were all made redundant, to our huge shock.

🐾Bedford's Petting Zoo was a huge hit!🦎
Sponsored by @morgansindallin and hosted by @wisciborg the team enjoyed meeting creatures of all kinds up close and personal.
The joy and curiosity was truly infectious and brought everyone (including Gyumi the snail) out of their shell!

I came away from my LDS mission to the French West Indies with a new measure of empathy and love for people who were different from me, and a huge curiosity about the vast world that I didn’t yet know. It taught me how universal humans are, and how lovely.
This dude learned a very different lesson.

I feel like I've been afraid of change lately. Some huge changes upcoming. Leaving music streaming for good old ownership, GitHub for GitLab, and some other changes to dailies.

Becoming predictable kills curiosity. Without curiosity, there dies innovation. We need innovation, not stability.

out of morbid curiosity have stuck on the Van Sant Psycho, which I've never seen, before it leaves Criterion and have already emitted a huge 'WHAT' at the discovery it was shot by Christopher Doyle between Happy Together and In the Mood for Love

Out of curiosity, how much do you have to *play* FF to get gposer to be fully functional (I'm guessing mods are a thing too)

I am way too into the idea of starting one but FF is huge for my PC 😂

Out of curiosity, I Googled to find out the largest stadium in America. It’s in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan; it holds 107,000. It’s huge, and then you add in the surrounding area for parking, etc.

Consider the logistics of building this monstrosity on the WH lawn, creating…. 1/2
