Remembering today that having your heart broken is a necessary step on the path to becoming fully human. Whichever heartbreak is your first, it’s probably critical that a state break your heart so that you can develop a political imagination. If this is your first, I’m sorry and also welcome.

This is the thing that’s sort of got me. So many people have died or had their lives ruined by ICE, yet I think this recent death is the only one that has blown up in my feed.

When I published Matched to the Alien Prince, there was fairly polar responses. Some saw it as unrealistic, while others saw it as hope for a future they couldn't yet see for themselves.

I have an author that I’ve been hesitant to pick up a book from again because their marketing material on Bluesky looks like it was made with genAI.
For those considering using AI/LLMs for their books or book covers. I was just about to mark a book as one I was interested in reading as part of a judging allotment, then didn't due to the use of AI in its cover. You're genuinely missing out on readers (& reviews) when you use this shite

So many of my books feature people who might otherwise not find an HEA in real life. Maybe it's prejudice, maybe it's trauma, maybe it's just fear. Life is hard, and I want to give people hope that their HEA is possible. It's out there... waiting.
