Ok, but what's really chafing my chiggers is that the original article and prompt that she was reacting to was not at all about anything remotely related to being transgender it was about the popularity of children correlating with gender norms. Things cis presenting people do all the time.

And maybe it’s a stylistic thing to focus on the feels, which 🤷. But really, all these nighttime romantic moments and shenanigans in overgrown fields and not a single mosquito or tick check? No venomous critter awareness? Is this a fantasy world where chiggers don’t exist? If so, can I visit? 🤔😂

Really, this was a hard read, and very relatable. The man and his family essentially had realized that he had bites, suspecting chiggers(Trombulicidae) over ticks or larval ticks, and realized he was having some kind of health problem or reaction, but he never was tested for the right things in time
