Very interesting article on malting, wild cereals and prehistory. Also article on Butser experimental archeology giving estimates of prehistoric timber and thatch resource use.

Took the dog for a walk up Butser this morning. The weather was absolutely foul and turned out to be one of the (many) bad decisions I’ve made.
