Michael Prescott's report makes vital points about the importance of being accurate, and also how difficult that is. For instance, he describes himself as having been Political Editor of the Sunday Times for 10 years, which is not what the Guardian reported when he left the job.

Side-by-side comparison of BBC-edited Trump speech from day of Capitol attack with original – video
A selectively edited clip by Panorama has resulted in the BBC being accused of making it appear clearer that the US president encouraged the Capitol attack

Trump incited violence on 6 January 2021.
An outside producer made a bad edit when there was plenty of unedited material to show that.
Today Trump's granting pardons to dozens of people involved in that day's attempt to sabotage the handover of power.
The BBC flagelllates itself.

Well, it's not sudden. It's just suddenly being REPORTED. This rot was a deliberate policy choice, and I kept the receipts. Because I'm not the BBC.

The Tory member and former election candidate that Boris Johnson appointed as DG of the BBC in order to make it more right-wing is now not right-wing enough to be DG of the BBC.
Couldn't really ask for a clearer example of the Overton window being pushed rightward, could you?

Glad that someone has finally taken responsibility for the appalling assault on democracy that was the Jan. 6 insurrection.
Slightly confused that it's the Director-General of the BBC, but what do I know?

In writing, there's the ellipsis to edit elements.
Oxford dictionary: the omission from speech or writing of a word or words that are superfluous or able to be understood from contextual clues.
Separating speech is challenging, but Trump was quoted directly...he doesn't like to be held to account.

UPDATE: Donald Trump is so hellbent on denying people SNAP that he went all the way to the Supreme Court to block benefits.
Now Trump is trying to bully states into TAKING BACK payments they already made to families.

I hear there’s an argument going on in the UK right now about whether or not Donald Trump incited the crowds to violence around January 6th. Apparently the BBC in a documentary showed edits of his speech that misrepresented what he said.
