Yes, Rachel. It's another case of the "ten year cycle" and after 50 years of being involved in education, let's restate; children need good teaching, tailored to their needs. Spot need and deal with it, "in the moment" to try to reduce future issues.

In my career, I hsve helped 15 or so scholars with disabilities gsin PhDs. To that add disabled students supported by Mike Oliver, Colin Barnes, Len Bsrton, John Swain, Carol Thomas, Nick Watson, Hannah Kuper & others, which means 1000s of disabled academics forming a vast wave of epistemic justice.

Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed to my Macmillian Cancer 35 minutes a day exercise challenge. MacMillan has helped my family and I hugely over the past year- they are always there for us.

Now, it’s time to give back.

Now I have the time.

There is, to my mind, no justification for the continued use by the UK Government of X as a platform for official comms. There hasn't been for some time, in fact, but if the latest developments around AI-generated image abuse and CSAM don't change the policy I really don't know what will.
NEW: People are using Elon Musk's chatbot, Grok, to alter images to depict real women being sexually abused, humiliated, hurt, and even killed.

Excellent blog.

My main take on Twitter was always: ‘If this was a pub, would I visit?’

I can put up with disagreement, rowdy evenings, occasional fights. But hard life rule: I don’t frequent hooligan pubs.
