I just learned that Mira Behn, Gandhi’s close associate (played by Geraldine James in the 1980 movie) was the niece of Adolphus Slade, aka Müşavir Paşa, the British admiral who served in the Ottoman navy and wrote extensively about Mahmud II and the Tanzimat. Interesting family!

Ken Martin has only been DNC chair for a year and he’s backed Mamdani, Wilson and Behn.
I’d of preferred Wikler, but he’s clearly trying to build a left and liberal coalition.

I guarantee there’s going to be a moderate complaint about Mejia being an example of a “bad primary voter choice” when the moderates couldn’t even consolidate behind 2 different candidates, let alone one.
