When I was growing up, the neighborhood pool would make all the kids get out for 30 min every few hours so the adults could swim in peace and I think they should do something similar on this site

seeing all these "is addiction a disease or a choice" videos on tiktok and i'm not sure of my answer anymore but people are getting heated in the comments lol a lot of people calling themselves "former addicts" has me thinking... i think in the future i'll say i'm a "former blackout champion"

Yeah, that's true: probably safer to say his point is about intentional content in a way that's compatible with most if not all conceptions of the linguistic-mental content relation. though I don't know if his point about intentional content crosses over to the phenomenal kind.

Thinking about a tour I took of DC where they showed the swatches they do on the monuments/memorials to be sure the cleaning solutions aren’t too harsh.
All the care taken to keep them in the best shape and safe from damage. And I just know these dickheads used super glue to tack these on.

2025 was a mixed year in many ways, but even through the worst parts (*cough* starting high school) theres been some incredible moments... I met some awesome people who've become my best friends, and I love all of them so much

There's some nuance that needs to be added here. I have not suggested that it was not in exceptional circumstances. After all, the pope's response says 'some people' are baptised. What I do believe is that it was the kind of exceptional circumstance that could happen in any regular winter.

It's worth pointing out that ice puts people in civil detention, that is, they have not been convicted of any crimes. The 8th Amendment doesn't even apply to them, not because we can treat them cruelly and I usually, but because they cannot be punished *at all.*

I live like 10 minutes from the border and have crossed a few times in the last year for pretty mundane reasons, mostly by car and once by bus. I haven't had any issues at all going either way, but I also haven't recently crossed with all the stuff one tends to bring to a convention.
