Extremely frustrating because Ryan understands the fundamental concept, to the point where we're saying the same exact thing but are drawing two wildly different conclusions from it. He looks at this and sees a conveyor belt going into a machine and out the other side and thinks "This could be AI"

All of this is shit, but pretending dnd and mtg sprung up fully formed shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how games are made. There was a context people were working in; the only reason they exploded was people's passion -- developers and fans -- who were willing to put in the work to build it.
Reposting with ALT because this kind of phenomenal disdain and disrespect from within the industry literally against two of their own titles and the designer who made them is important to recognize.

My commander told me the Gundam keeps blowing up his Zaku squadrons so I asked how many Zaku he has and he said he just goes to the quartermaster and requisitions a new Zaku squadron so I said it sounds like he's feeding Zakus to the Gundam's tactical computer and then his daughter started crying

The maintenance guy came to fix our heater (completely unannounced I might add), took one look at it, KICKED IT, and the hell noise we have been living with constantly for at least two weeks stopped.
I'm so mad.

We are cursed with a broken motor on our heater, which you would think means it wouldn't run, but actually it will not stop running unless we cut the power to the heater entirely. Do you like sleeping with a blender running nonstop in the next room
