It is not true “England cannot effectively subsidise travel costs”. Retired people get free travel. By freezing the fuel duty escalator we are subsidising car drivers, which compounds inequality. See more here: bettertransport.org.uk/media/groups...

Have you written to your MP to let them know why they need to #UnlockTransportAccess for everyone?

Grey space is important for children, for play, independent mobility and spatial justice. Great piece from @alisonstenning.bsky.social 👇🏽
In the @uk.theconversation.com, I rehearse - in briefer form - my arguments _for_ play in grey space, arguing that it affords opportunities for play, connection and care that green space often can’t, and that it’s politically important to value play in these spaces.
Children should have a right to play in the streets, alleys, pavements and car parks of their neighbourhoods
Play isn’t just for playgrounds.

Thought I would have to drive kiddo to a physio appointment this evening, but car getting fixed so had to ride our bikes. Mixed infrastructure, but kiddo noted how much faster it was cycling and closer than expected. Also, less stress. #utilitycycling #familycycling
