I feel really misled on the impact of the discharge petition. Everyone acted like that was going to release the files.
Here’s the underlying Epstein bill. For this to have legal force — as opposed to just messaging value:
1. House must pass it. (Discharge petition can only to force a vote.)
2. Senate must pass it.
3. Either Trump signs it or Congress overrides his veto.
