Since this post, nearly 300 of you donated about $11k and I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart. The union shared photos with me today of food being distributed. Remaining money will be evenly distributed among the 160 union members in the form of gift cards. Thank you. ❤️

I learned last night that people working in policy making are routinely asking ai to analyze draft policy

And literally asking it for “progressive” analysis and I simply cannot overstate how terrifying and deeply irresponsible it is to cede that territory to the billionaire-run false idol.
my hot take is astrology is more accurate than ai

The hepatitis B vaccine had been recommended for all newborns since 1991.

From 1990-2019, acute hepatitis B infections reported among children and teens fell 99 percent. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/16/w...
Breaking: After contentious debates and three failed attempts at a vote, a federal vaccine committee decided on Friday to end the decades-long recommendation that all newborns be immunized at birth against hepatitis B.

BREAKING: The CDC’s vaccine advisory panel just voted to drop the hepatitis B birth dose from its recommendations.

This move strips away a proven safeguard for newborns and reverses long-standing, evidence-based policy.

A disaster for public health.

Agree with this thread. Worth reading in full.

25 years ago John Roberts, Brett Kavanaugh, and AC Barrett all worked on GWBush's 2000 Florida recount team. What they're doing now is, if anything, more nakedly partisan.

Fire-breathing dissent by Kagan, with Sotomayor and Jackson.
They're not even trying to appear nonpartisan anymore.
#BREAKING: Over dissents from the three democratic appointees, #SCOTUS puts Texas's new House maps back into effect for (and, presumably, through) the 2026 midterms.

The three Democratic appointees, in an opinion by Justice Kagan, dissent.

I'll post the ruling shortly.

rand paul is the vote that put Hegseth in office.

it's good that he's flipped now, but god damn it.
Rand Paul saying Hegseth is either “lying or incompetent” is wild because coming from him, that’s basically a full-blown alarm siren. When even GOP senators are calling out the boat strike cover story, you know the narrative is cracking. Accountability is way overdue!

It could cost USPS more than *$6 billion* a year in lost revenue, and lead Amazon to dominate yet another facet of the economy.
