This is the ninth shooting by ICE since September (I did not know that). All of them were into vehicles.

The woman killed by ICE today was a poet. She won the 2020 Academy of American Poets, University & College Poetry Prize at Old Dominion University.

(And this is Renee from confirmed socials- a photo of a different woman with red lipstick is going around, but that was a classmate.)

every two weeks an incident happens that's so egregious that I truly get mad that everyone will just move on and absolutely nothing will happen- nobody will be punished, nobody will be arrested, nothing will even be changed.
I'm so tired

How this can‘t make your blood boil I‘ll never understand.
"What a year for the ultra wealthy. The world’s 500 richest people added a record $2.2 trillion to their collective fortunes in 2025’s… booming markets, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. And about a quarter of this year’s gains went to just eight billionaires.” — Bloomberg Morning Brief

Yesterday, my birthday, I took my daughter to the theater and we watched an anniversary screening of Spirited Away. She loved it. She got scared a couple times, but never enough to say, that she wants to leave. I had prepared her for the scarier scenes before we went and I think that was a good…

Fuck you fools.
The Lord of The Rings movies were rated PG-13. By current rules that means that each film could contain one use of the word "Fuck". Which line are you altering to insert the most useful swear word?

“Rain smacked Los Angeles. It splattered on the palm trees, sizzled on the neon, gurgled down the dirty boulevard. The town was sick. They hadn’t seen sunlight in almost a day. But I had the cure. A fifth of magic and a sack full of cold, hard joy. ‘Ho,’ I said once. It was enough.”

No Stellar Blade, I don't need a hint 5 seconds into exploring an area that has no clear exit. I guess your general audience is distracted by Eve's assets but god damn, calm down.

Keep thinking about this term "pre-digested" that Kojima used to describe art that's instantly gratifying. And how it's better when people grow to love something instead.

I've gravitated, as player and designer, toward the latter, but that term "pre-digested" is new and feels very strong.

The #1 movie when you were 10 is how your 2026 is going to go.
So… disappointing? But there will be some cool fighting, and racing, and amazing music?

I had an amazing year on Playstation. I grinded for that Platinum in 3 of my top 5 games and loved every second of it. I have yet to finish Death Stranding 2, but I am on that. Metaphor lost me a bit unfortunately, but I also want to finish it eventually.

Watching Avatar: The Last Airbender for the first time, I am currently 17 episodes in, and oh my god is it amazing. The world building, our trio of main characters, the animation, the mystery and intrigue. It's all so good. I can't wait to rewatch it when my kids are old enough.
