Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday is the best single performance in any western. I screamed at the TV as a kid when Roger Ebert told Kilmer at the Oscars red carpet that he would’ve been nominated for a Best Supporting Actor if the studio that released Tombstone would’ve shown the movie to critics.

Just saw Stewart Lee's new show in St Albans. The fire alarm went off towards the end and we had Stewart Lee dressed as a werewolf with a prosthetic penis announcing he is our fire marshall ordering us to evacuate the venue....its been a strange evening.

In January 2021, during the third national lockdown, I pulled into this deserted pub car park to turn the van round and found a lamppost and a bin engaged in lively conversation while they thought no one was looking. Incredible.
