Firefighters from Phibsborough responded to a fire alarm earlier this week.

Using a 10.5m ladder, they were able to gain entry and investigate the cause of alarm.

Zoom in at the bottom of the ladder, next time you use one, have someone to foot it like this!

Take the time tomorrow on the school run to ask your children what the number is to call for help. A lot of them will say 911.

A high pressure hose reel was used to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus fought the fire, which was brought under control shortly after arrival.

Firefighters from Finglas fire station responded to this car fire in #Ballymun last night.

We wear breathing apparatus when extinguishing these fires to protect ourselves from toxic gases.

If you see a car fire, stay well back, call 999/112 and request the fire service.

Congratulations to our GAA team who were crowned Dublin Junior Interfirm Champions last night.

It was their first year back in the competition and great to get a win in a very competitive game against Mountjoy Prison Officers.

We worked with Dublin Civil Defence to take people to safety as the night continued on.
