I'm not sure if "radicalized" is the correct word for knowing that people need to eat, be housed, have meaningful employment, & get the medical & mental healthcare they need. Is it "radical" to expect your elected officials & law enforcement to protect you, not attack you?

They've given me an intern to mentor & I'm clearly doing a terrible job because it's brick outside & she didn't call out. Now EYE have to go in.

I flat out told him, "I refuse to call you that."
He's so easygoing; he said I could call him "Twin" if that suited me better.
We've been acquainted for YEARS & I just found out his name is Julio (Ju, not Who)!

I'm a pretty serious home baker. The snobbishness around box mixes is ridiculous. They're just the same ingredients you would normally use already mixed & pre-measured. Tip: Dump a box of *instant* pudding in the same flavor as your box cake to make it incredibly moist & more homemade tasting.
Let's stop judging people who use cooking dough or baking mixes. I am glad you have the time and the resources to bake right now but some of us are disabled, Karen.

My sister-in-law sent me this photo this morning from eight in front of the lobby door of our apartment building. They're not even using cinder blocks anymore...just milk crates? Times must really be getting tough!

Very good & accurate. Part of teaching is care & understanding for students & self. Many ppl have gripes about kids' alleged knowledge gaps. (Mine is their ugly & illegible handwriting.) But most of these complaints are related to things that are no longer important--if they ever truly were.
I have been reading all the "students these days" threads from various sides and I have an essay's worth of thoughts -- there's a lot of complexity and heterogeneity that is hard to communicate on social media. There are a couple of things I will say here though. 1/

In winter lone shopping trolleys form groups for warmth and protection. The alpha trolley, seen at the centre with double child seats, will lead the group. A younger line trolley can be seen on the left, it can take days to be accepted by the group.
