If you somehow ended up on this page without knowing me, I specifically started learning to draw in order to make transhet comics, because there's such a massive drought of content in this niche

I kinda liked Tokyo Godfathers, but portrayal of trans woman lead left me with a bit of a weird aftertaste. Even though Hana herself is very humanized and is not a parody, and her state makes sense, and a friend who recommended this movie has defended this depiction, it still rubbed me the wrong way
It upsets me deeply that trans girls are depicted with hyper-masculine traits in anime while cis men often get drawn the exact same as the women and no one bats an eye.
