You can be “subtle” with this as well. In my setting there are humans and Animal-folk. Or if you’re feeling racist you can call them Beastmen. It’s an easy way to signal that an NPC is a “villain” to my players.
Wanna know a world building hack to make your fantasy setting feel more believable and lived in? Come up with two or three names for certain places or things in your world. Humans might call that mountain Stardock, but the dwarves might call it Uther-koll, and the elves might call it Galasanderim.
