I actually couldn’t agree more with you. Idk when this switch happened exactly but it’s performative af you don’t need 2-3 round interviews to know if someone is fit for a position especially when the base pay most of time be $16/hr !!!! WTF
Interview rounds are a ridiculous concept to me. It used to take one interview. Then it went from phone screen to interview. We have to pay bills and the position has to be filled. The rounds waste time to me!
Plus, that wait time they make for a callback shouldn’t take more than 24 hours!

I was on LinkedIn and saw a hiring manager upset about a candidate turning down the offer because they accepted a position elsewhere.
I don’t think hiring managers realize that having more that 2 interview rounds is what causes that. People are interviewing for other jobs because they NEED jobs.
