Exasperating to the last Tory Government - and a certain campaigning magistrate - that juries kept acquitting peaceful protestors against planetary destruction. What better way to solve that problem than by abolishing juries - who knows what they might do otherwise to eg Palestine Action protestors.

Unsurprised to hear any politics that looks to address inequalities, looks to centre the poorest in our societies, anything that challenges the unsustainable status quo, dismissed as 'radical socialism'.

Political analysis/commentary is pretty poor globally but in the UK it is in the sewer.
It's not just about the messenger.

You've got to have the right message.

Please take a minute to read their letter, & share it with the people in your life who need to hear the truth about the people they are protesting.

Question - if wealth taxes don’t work and raise only paltry amounts, how come whenever we start seriously discussing them rich people start pouring resources into trying to start race and class wars as a distraction?

It’s largely academic, because @KemiBadenoch is on a Liz Truss trajectory towards the US Nutter Circuit. But that the Leader of the Opposition would spread such utter lies - adding in her ignorance by suggesting the Sentencing Council has any role in immigration - is pathetic.

‘[Lord Wolfson says:] The [ECHR] and the Human Rights Act “place major restrictions on individual decision-making at every level (civil servants, judges, and ministers) and in policy and legislative design”.’

YES THAT’S THE ENTIRE POINT
The next Conservative government will take the UK out of the ECHR and repeal the Human Rights Act. Kemi Badenoch announced her decision after taking advice from Lord Wolfson of Tredegar KC, who had warned her that withdrawal would not be a “silver bullet”.

How that would warrant arrest is very unclear. I wonder if the police here even understand the boundaries of the bizarre law they’ve been forced to enforce.

A hideous, and for traumatised British Jews profoundly unhelpful, expression of allyship & agreement with a violent, racist, serial criminal & former member of an avowedly anti-Semitic organisation from the *Israeli Minister of Diaspora Affairs* and so, as Sunder says, the Israeli government. 1/3
This Israeli government decision to host Tommy Robinson will widen the growing gulf between the Netanyahu government and the British public, including the broad majority of Jews in Britain (3/4 of whom dsapproved of Netanyahu, before this new link to this anti-Muslim racist UK far right convict).
