The lack of mainstream coverage of regular huge protests reminds me of a talk from a Twitter employees who explained that they had to drop BLM off the Trending Tags section because otherwise it would have been there permanently. The modern media environment has no appetite for sustained movements.

Extremely cool being in a city that’s about to be occupied by a ton of federal agencies and having to ask friends/colleagues who live near me and aren’t white if they want me to share news of ICE sightings in the area.

I keep thinking about this and want to add that the Epstein list is 100% a distraction that so many people are falling for hook, line, and sinker. This admin is getting away with so many unconstitutional things while the media is overrun with headlines about the list, Maxwell, etc.
i think people need a refresher on what constitutes a Distraction. the cracker barrel logo thing (zero stakes, obviously invented controversy) is a Distraction. the ongoing military occupation of washington dc (ample footage of random delivery drivers being violently detained by feds) is not
