people will speak about a game they played as a kid with the same reverence that they might a great song or novel, about how it engrossed them totally and completely. They may even tear up talking about it. and then you ask what game it was and it was Spongebob battle for bikini bottom

Game studio announcements be like, “We laid off all your favourite devs! But don’t worry, all the people actually responsible for the horrible decision-making that led to this massive failure are staying on :) and they will still be driving their new Porsches :) all is well!!!!!”

this confirms something i have long suspected, which is that certain people are told that their professional and academic failures are because of “affirmative action” or “DEI” as a way to avoid difficult conversations about their mediocrity www.wsj.com/lifestyle/ca...
You Blamed DEI for Hurting Your Career. Now What?
For people who pin their failures on diversity, corporate America’s DEI retreat removes a barrier—or maybe an excuse.

one thing i’m stuck on is this idea that “masculine” energy means license to act like a chud in public, as opposed to more traditional notions of public masculinity, such as those that put a premium on the performance of integrity, honesty, honor and generosity.

the reason gen z doesn’t care at all about “china having their data” is because gen z knows that the US government has collected their online activity data since they were born

Jentry Chau vs the Underworld and Invincible Fight Girl are 2 of the best animated series out right now and it's the kind of stuff I hope to work on down the road.

They're where we should be going industry wise for more YA content.

And not be afraid to make stuff like it

We need more media where rich people face severe punishment.

Remember how after 9/11, it felt like terrorists were the bad guys in literally every action movie?

I feel like the time has come for a cultural shift towards cathartically fucking with the upper 1%.

Let's talk about how many times WWE have carted Hogan out post-sex tape & N bomb, and how it's the definition of insanity.

X has ~18m daily USA users. @bsky.app, ~1.5m.

Is it worth 20 MINS a day to proactively recruit and bring your friends, neighbors, relatives, businesses, anyone who is or could be a user, to @bsky.app?

If Bluesky ends up with more users than the others, you destabilize musk, zuck, trump.

Streaming in 2010: You can watch an entire catalog of amazing movies and TV shows for a reasonable monthly fee

Streaming in 2025: our library is Batman movies and 28 seasons of a Tim Allen sitcom, it costs $159/month. We just destroyed the last piece of evidence that Mister Rogers ever existed
Scoop: Warner Bros. Discovery has quietly pulled "The West Wing" from its Max streamer as part of a cost-cutting move following a ROI evaluation. Details in @status.news: link.status.news/3C72V5Z
