It's just that you so rarely find an example of fiction vs. reality that is SO STAGGERINGLY 1:1 that your brain doesn't even have to do any particularly hard work to get there. I think that's what makes it feel so brutal to me. Like honey, you've been given the gift of FOREKNOWLEDGE! CLAIRVOYANCE!
