Great (terrible) news (predictions), everyone, I've updated my awful blog with a post designed to make you, personally, feel very bad.

This is a relatively breezy overview of things to worry about in 2026 mostly related to the election, so check it out!

Respectfully, this topic has been intensely addressed from both a research and policy perspective. Indeed, a lot of the research on lone actor terrorism has stressed both the low material cost of such attacks, and the lack of any true 'predictive' personal or sociological characteristic.
My hottest NS take is that, unlike organized crime, terrorism is rarely addressed by tackling terrorist financing.

Many terrorists are middle class or even wealthy, these attacks are usually self financed, and driving the a Christmas market or shooting up a beach costs almost nothing.
Pack it up folks, we’re done, the worst take has been found

Happy Thanksgiving everyone and never forget that society began its irreversible decline into terminally online brain rot when the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade did the Rick Roll meme. There was no going back after that, our fates were sealed…enjoy the turkey and stuffing today though!

This is some very good reporting about the Goyim Defense League (GDL) and how they are targeting kids online for recruitment. GDL hasn't gotten a lot of mainstream coverage like Fuentes and his Groyper buddies have but GDL is worse in basically every way. Thanks for this great reporting, Phil!

The Dodgers would be nothing and nobody without immigrants. They won this game - and this entire series - because of immigrants. In that sense, they represent the absolute best that this country has to offer.

I hope they remember all this when the White House invitation arrives.
Los Angeles suffered tremendously because of the wildfires. The president of the United States has wanted to make the immigrants who make the city suffer and declared war on the city. But all throughout it, L.A. makes it work daily. It’s a place where people go to make it. LA deserves this.

For those who don't know, that is a runic depiction of Fenrir from Norse mythology. These kinds of tattoos have been a favorite in Nazi-adjacent circles for a long time.

To be clear: I truly don't know if Platner is a crypto-Nazi, but he is most definitely a massive fucking idiot.

To the various laymen who are out here doing Dan Brown shit trying to piece together shooter motives: actual terrorists, even the terminally online ones, are never cryptic about why they kill people. It literally defeats the purpose, as the entire point of political violence is to SEND A MESSAGE.
DUDE WAS A TERMINALLY ONLINE BRAIN ROTTED LOSER WHO SUNK OVER 6k HOURS INTO RUST? WHO COULD HAVE PREDICTED THIS?

As acts of political or social violence have become a form of content to be consumed by an audience, one of the standard failings of American media literacy has taken hold in that the audience who chooses their sainted killer is read as said actor being ascribed to that audience's stated ideology.
Calling Mangione a leftist is still a huge citation needed.

The citation for the second Trump "attempt" offered *in this article* says "there is little public information about the most recent shooter." (Note: He did not shoot, nor seems to have even attempted a shot.)

Spoke with @drewharwell.com over @washingtonpost.com about Internet culture, memes and how the rush to pin an ideology on Robinson was foolish. Happy to be quoted alongside other experts like @jaredlholt.bsky.social and @jmberger.com in this! They really know their stuff.
The internet culture behind the Kirk shooting suspect’s ‘big meme’
The Charlie Kirk shooter’s engravings have been mined for clues of a motive. For those steeped in meme culture, they show only that he was “terminally online.”

Again, while I expect some attempt at illegal bullshit, the total lack of any legal infrastructure dealing with domestic extremism makes it very difficult for this to translate into anything real.
And here it is. Fuck.

“ANTIFA” isn’t a real organization. Trump and co will now just attempt to label anyone they don’t like as “ANTIFA” as a way to try and coerce them into silence. It’s very bad but also incredibly stupid.
BREAKING: Trump says he is designating “Antifa” as a “major terrorist organization.”

Such a step being taken this way would be concerning enough, given what it actually is, but, given that Trump sees “Antifa” hiding in every corner of opposition, this could be an extremely alarming escalation.

One of the reasons I keep dropping that "this isn't the American Years of Lead, but you can see it from here" is because we haven't seen a society-shattering rise in clear, coherent, organized, and communicative violence by disparate, clearly ideological actors.

Wild that something I wrote is right below something Ro Khanna wrote. With the indictment out and with Robinson admitting on Discord to his roommate that the memes on the shells were literally "just one big meme", I think you should go read my article where I said that was likely the case!

"It's all one big meme" is the explanation the shooter gave for the memes on the shells and that's exactly what I've been saying this whole time. I'd argue that he did because he knew big name shooters had memes on their bullets or guns so he was emulating that.

It's important to point out that this is openly fascist and authoritarian and thus extremely dangerous to the civil society of the country while also pointing out that the lack the manpower both at a law enforcement and legal level to carry this out at scale.
Pretty crazy how "America is a legit, no bullshit fascist country" is now a NYT headline.

Now that those crazy afternoon games are over, you all should read this article I wrote for MSNBC. It would make me happy and buoy my spirit before I have to watch the Falcons almost certainly disappoint on prime time television this evening.
I wrote for @msnbc.com about what the engravings on the shell casings of Kirk’s shooter represent and where the references originated. Given what we know so far, they suggest a young man who had his brain fried by the irony poisoned, anti-social nature of certain aspects of online culture. /1
Opinion | What the shell casings in the assassination of Charlie Kirk do – and don't – tell us
