Today marks 300 days since Israeli forces killed 6-year-old Hind Rajab, her family members, and the medics sent to save her in Gaza.

For months, I have pressed the US government again and again on the killing.

How they’ve responded is shocking.

"There is no major study in the world that says that bikeways are a leading cause of congestion, and most will even suggest that they're a way to improve traffic and congestion. If we can't agree on these facts, it does make having these conversations very challenging…”
How a handful of rich Toronto businessmen with entirely too much political access and influence, but apparently zero understanding of how urban mobility actually works, appear to be getting their way with Ontario Premier Doug Ford on bike-lanes province-wide.

COMMENTARY: The intimidatory tactics being employed against journalists in Ukraine are reminiscent of the Viktor Yanukovych era.
Ukraine’s investigative journalists are facing intimidation
While the level of corruption in the country may be on the decline, it’s far from over — and pressure on journalists is only mounting.

Meta is threatening to pull news content off its platforms in Illinois if the state passes a bill requiring social media sites to share ad revenue with news outlets.

This comes as stories surface about Mark Zuckerberg reportedly spending $330 million on a new yacht.

35 major corporations paid their execs MORE than what they paid in federal income taxes between 2018 and 2022.

Each of the companies generated billions of dollars in profit over the same period.

The death of Nex Benedict, a trans youth who reported being bullied for his queer identity, has been ruled a suicide.

Whatever the cause it's equally a tragedy, but I'd like more infor clarifying how the determination was made, in light of the strange ways officials behaved in the wake of this.

Reminder that when SCOTUS wanted to nuke Biden's eviction moratorium and student loan forgiveness, they gleefully zipped right by the appellate courts.

But "is the President a King above all mortal law" required inventing several months of delay so they can punt trial beyond the election.
Remember that DOJ sought expedited review of this issue from the Court last year (skipping the circuit courts). They refused and punted it to the DC Circuit, which took months; then dilly dallied all this time after the DC Circuit’s decision, before finally issuing a grant. It’s pretty transparent.
