The University of Oklahoma takes seriously concerns involving First Amendment rights, certainly including religious freedoms. Upon receiving notice from the student on the grading of an assignment, the University immediately began a full review of the situation and has acted swiftly to address the matter. First, the college acted immediately to address the academic issue raised by the student. College leaders contacted her on the day her letter was received and have maintained regular communication throughout the process. As previously stated, a formal grade appeals process was conducted. The process resulted in steps to ensure no academic harm to the student from the graded assignments. Second, the student reported filing a claim of illegal discrimination based on religious beliefs to the appropriate university office. OU has a clear process for reviewing such claims and it has been activated. The graduate student instructor has been placed on administrative leave pending the finalization of this process. To ensure fairness in the process, a full-time professor is serving as the course instructor for the remainder of the semester. OU remains firmly committed to fairness, respect and protecting every student's right to express sincerely held religious beliefs. The UNIVERSITY of OKLAHOMA

I'm sad to share that the trans vet that took her life outside the VA last week was apparently Elisa Rae Shupe.

She's someone many of us know - she was responsible for the mass email leak that let us know how the ADF, Heritage, etc planned to enact trans eradication we see today.

Not only did Trump not release more water that would be useful to firefighters in LA, the water he did release was actually reserved for central valley farmers (who mostly voted for Trump) and will now go to waste instead of their farms.
"The farmers in the basin own the water and that water is stored in these dams in the winter, during the rainy season, so that farmers can use it in the very hot, long, dry summer season," he explained. From the perspective of the farmers, he said, the water is "assumed to be lost."

Trump’s anti-trans Executive Order is bad BUT it technically defines everyone as female. It states:

“'Female' means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell."

Since all fetuses "at conception" are female, Trump just defined EVERYONE as female.

We, your Memorialists, the House of Representatives and the Senate of the State of Idaho assembled in the First Regular Session of the Sixty-eighth Idaho Legislature, do hereby respectfully represent that: WHEREAS, the decision by the Supreme Court of the United States in Obergefell v. Hodges, 576 U.S. 644 (2015), is at odds with the Constitution of the United States and the principles upon which the United States is es- tablished; and WHEREAS, liberty has long been understood as individual freedom from governmental action, not as a right to a particular governmental entitle- ment; and WHEREAS, Obergefell invokes a definition of "liberty" that the framers would not have recognized, rejecting the idea captured in the Declaration of Independence that human dignity is innate, and instead suggesting that it comes from the government; and WHEREAS, when the framers proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence that "all men are created equal" and "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights," they referred to a vision of mankind in which all humans are created in the image of God and therefore of inherent worth; and WHEREAS, Obergefell undermines this vision by declaring that citizens must seek dignity from the state; and WHEREAS, Obergefell relies on the dangerous fiction of treating the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution as a font of substantive rights, a doctrine that strays from the full meaning of the Con- stitution and exalts judges at the expense of the people from whom they de- rive their authority; and WHEREAS, Obergefell's inversion of the original meaning of liberty causes collateral damage to other aspects of our constitutional order that protect liberty, including religious liberty; and WHEREAS, the Supreme Court recognized in United States v. Windsor, 570 U.S. 744 (2013), that the definition of marriage is "an area that has long been regarded as a virtually exclusive prov… WHEREAS, Obergefell arbitrarily and unjustly rejected this definition of marriage in favor of a novel, flawed interpretation of key clauses within the Constitution and our nation's legal and cultural precedents; and WHEREAS, since court rulings are not laws and only legislatures elected by the people may pass laws, Obergefell is an illegitimate overreach. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the members of the First Regular Ses- sion of the Sixty-eighth Idaho Legislature, the House of Representatives and the Senate concurring therein, that the Idaho Legislature rejects the Obergefell decision. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Idaho Legislature calls upon the Supreme Court of the United States to reverse Obergefell and restore the natural def- inition of marriage, a union of one man and one woman. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Idaho Legislature insists on restoring the issue of marriage and enforcement of all laws pertaining to marriage back to the several states and the people. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Clerk of the House of Representa- tives be, and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a copy of this Memorial to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Meta literally created a LGBTQ exception for calling someone mentally ill as an insult. You can't do it for any other group except LGBTQ people.
The image is from a "Transparency Center" document and lists guidelines regarding acceptable and prohibited content for insults. It mentions: 1. Insults about: Character, such as cowardice, dishonesty, criminality, and sexual promiscuity or immorality. Mental characteristics, including but not limited to accusations of stupidity, intellectual capacity, and mental illness, as well as unsupported comparisons among politically correct (PC) groups based on inherent intellectual traits. 2. Highlighted section: The document allows allegations of mental illness or abnormality when tied to gender or sexual orientation, referencing political and religious discourse about transgenderism and homosexuality. It also acknowledges the non-serious use of terms like "weird."
