CA Assembly Bill 43 went into effect.

Everyone who voted in favor of it can eat grimey rocks covered in slug slime.

Fuck yall!

What is AB 43?

Well, it “expands involuntary behavioral health treatment” aka involuntary institutionalization.

Huh? Keep reading +

It’s still not too late to wear a mask!

Covid and flu are raging. People are traveling for the holidays & getting sick in the process.

A well fitted respirator like an N95 protects you and those around you.

It’s an investment in your health plus it shows solidarity with the disability community.

Stop telling disabled people to “just find a care home”

It’s not easy or affordable

Most homes won’t take young people who are severely chronically ill and/or medically unstable

It’s also cruel

We deserve to remain in our communities

Institutionalization isn’t the answer

I love n95s. I haven’t been sick in years. It’s awesome.

Cannot believe some of the sketchy air I’ve breathed in my life. Absolutely not doing that anymore.

Open up this picture fully.

Then look at the surface of Mars.

Then look up to the top right.

Spot Mars' moon Phobos high in the sky.

Then notice the bright spot beside Phobos.

That's Earth.

We really need some movement on this.

Even a few dollars moves the needle toward stability.

Please share. I usually go 30-40 shares or more between donations.
No one's bought anything for 2 weeks and I'm out of money so I'm starting my January #MutualAid a few days early. I'm a disabled person who can't work a real job and can't get SSDI. I rely on never-enough knitting sales and this to survive.

We've learned in the past decade or so that forensic science and behavioral psychology are basically made up. Meanwhile, medical science turned AIDS into a manageable condition, developed a vaccine for a global pandemic, and is reversing Alzheimer's in mice
Reminder that years ago it was found out that the FBI straight up made up a whole bunch of fake forensic sciences, plural. People have gone to jail and been executed due to literally pseudoscience.

Hair forensics, for instance, is totally nonsense.

They admitted it.

A small but concrete task for today:

Sameer Project told us on 12/25 that it costs $38 for 1 blanket, which can help keep a family that is in their 3rd winter in genocide (😢) warm.

Can anyone join us today in donating the cost of one blanket to Sameer? Can you get 1 other person to join you?

My mother died of Covid complications this year. She not only refused to believe Covid was ‘that serious’ she also refused to mask when people visited her at our home in India.
Anyone anywhere who wants to mock people who mask can fuck all the way off.
Jon Stewart and the pod saves guys mocking people who wear masks while talking about What Is To Be Done is exactly what Jon Stewart and the pod saves guys are, it's the most Jon Stewart and pod saves guys thing possible.

I'm not mad at people much younger than me for having less skill in reading than I expect. I taught myself to read at pretty much the same time I started talking. But our literacy method actually worked; theirs was a scam I am furious at.

But not them. It's not their fault. I must try to teach it.
