Visual novels, Fire Emblem, and RPGs both Jay and Doubleyou. Normie liberal Democrat. He/him.
Watched Pacific Rim for the first time tonight. Kind of reminded me of Final Fantasy X, which makes me think, is that game a kaiju movie?

The game awards are interesting to me because there are always trailers that are a dramatic, massively realistic cutscene, with no gameplay and heavy emphasis on Christopher Walken playing the Demon Lord or w/e. This trailer costs 35 million dollars and I will never meet anyone who plays it.

One of the lowest points in US history - the president going on unhinged white supremacist rants in public appearance after public appearance, targeting a specific ethnic group - but because it’s Trump our political class is incapable of perceiving what it is and reacting appropriately
Trump: "It’s a hellhole right now. And those Somalians should be out of here. They've destroyed our country. And all they do is complain, complain, complain. You have her. She’s always talking about the Constitution provides me with – go back to your own country and figure out your constitution."

Trump is so debasing to republicans that their only way to deal with him is by playing stupid. this shit is so embarrassing, honestly
Q: You outlined the dangers posed by drugs. So what explanation do you have for Trump pardoning the former president of Honduras?

SEN. ROGER MARSHALL: I don't know the details. Happy to look into it. I can't speak to it

Q: Alright. Um. Ok. Like, no thought on it?

MARSHALL: I haven't researched it

I'm not really into Hazbin Hotel or Smiling Friends for pretty much exact opposite reasons. I need a "this porridge is just right" adult cartoon.

I hate this sort of meme.

“The only difference between the parties is whether the power to destroy human civilization rests in the hands of leaders who think gays, women, and black people should have their rights acknowledged.”

Even if true, how is Rainbow B-52 not infinitely preferable?

The Iron Law of Trump is "No matter how bad you think it is, it's worse" and it's never failed once.

Trump: I met with him, Governor Shoes-on-feet, guy with brown shoes, black shoes, such crazy colors

The Press: That first guy has dementia

Trump on Lori Lightfoot, whose name he can't remember: "The mayor from Chicago. The woman. The one that gets her hair done very expensively, right? Beautiful hair. She's got beautiful, luxurious hair."

“Why has virtually every country in the world seen an abrupt rise in extremist politics, especially on the far-right, starting at approximately the same date the iPhone was released”

The most important question in politics but maybe not a hard one

There is almost nothing in Tolkien as pervasive as his love for the small and vulnerable, for the meek and the gentle. These are not the values of these thugs and they do not have any claim to them.

Unfortunately being in her 70s probably will hurt Mills and not Collins because every human being alive holds Democrats to higher standards than Republicans whether they realize it or not.

Their are two political parties in this country. One of them hates LGBT people and the other is the Democrats. 98% of voters would accept this as an accurate analysis and the other 2% would fly into a rant about why it's not.

I am having a hard time reconciling "Charlie Kirk was a fierce advocate of open dialogue and free expression" with "we must identify and persecute everyone who is insufficiently mournful"
After Charlie Kirk's death, teachers and professors nationwide fired or disciplined over social media posts
At least a dozen faculty and staff have faced fallout over insensitive comments online.

Take it from some who teaches about drone strikes, “I shed no tear for that guy” and “this is bad, it shouldn’t have happened” can be normal reactions to have simultaneously.

Opposition to political violence isn’t about personal sympathy for an individual target per se, it’s about society.

I remain steadfastly opposed to gun violence, even when the victim is one of the most soulless contributors to our social and moral rot.

The most aggressively child-free person I knew just announced she's having a kid. Like, I know personal anecdotes =/= data, but this kind of affirms what I've always thought about the "child-free" movement, that it's not worth being so gung-ho about it because you might change your mind!

You never see a piece about how rural America needs to learn to tolerate the city folk or Donald Trump needs to respect the dignity of the office or anything like that because *everyone knows they won’t f’ing do it.* The reward for trying, however imperfectly, to be good is to be told you’re bad.
