This infrared color image by NASA's WISE shows the supernova remnant IC 443, also known as the Jellyfish Nebula.

It's located near the star Eta Geminorum, some 5,000 ly away in the constellation Gemini.

Bodes Galaxy was one of the first galaxies that I imaged when I first started my journey into #astrophotography nearly three years ago. This is the first time that I have actually achieved an image that I really like. I hope you like it too! #astronomy @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social

The Boomerang Nebula is the coldest known place in the universe at -272°C just 1°C above absolute zero. Colder than empty space! How? Its dying star expels gas so fast that it cools rapidly, like an extreme space air conditioner.

Welcome to a very large star cluster, NGC-2070! 🔭

It lies inside the Tarantula Nebula in the Large Magellanic Cloud, some 160,000 light years away. I processed Hubble data to produce this image, the observation having been made in October 2020.

The Pinwheel Galaxy, M101

This magnificent galaxy with roughly 1 trillion stars is 21 million light years distant. Look close at the fuzzy spots nearby, they’re other galaxies. The Universe is swarming with galaxies.
