I get that the news cycle is packed right now, but I just heard from a colleague at the Smithsonian that this is fully a GIANT SQUID BEING EATEN BY A SPERM WHALE and it’s possibly the first ever confirmed video according to a friend at NOAA

A black locust unicorn! Undecided on a name.
I started this art piece several months ago, but I was too burned out to finish it. Finally it's complete. 💜
For me, it represents freedom. 🌸🌿

It’s time for the puffling playoffs! 🐣

This summer we welcomed two hatchlings to our tufted puffin colony. Our aviculturists chose the name Nori, like the type of seaweed used in sushi, for the older puffling.

I'm looking through what I think is the oldest text document about DELTARUNE that I can find. This is one of the first facts about Susie. Even though this has never happened in the game, everyone just intuitively understands this as true. I won.

I'm so happy to share I contributed some art to Deltarune Chapter 3 in the form of Tenna's word art + the TV Time logo!!

I had SO many type design inspirations, but special shout-outs to Typodermic Fonts, House Industries, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Paper Mario, and Adventureland Resort in Des Moines, IA.

Emperor Shōwa of Japan 🇯🇵 was a keen amateur marine biologist, and collected several crab species new to science. 🆕🦀

Amazing!

- deepsea bacteria take up methane, oxidize carbon
- sea spiders FARM the bacteria on THEIR OWN BODY (like yeti crabs)
- the sea spiders eat the bacteria as part of the chemosynthetic food chain
- methane from the seeps doesn't get into the atmosphere 🧪🦑

Yes. Money is being spent on snails. These are unique, remarkable and of huge scientific importance. If we hadn’t destroyed their environment we wouldn’t have to spend the money. And yes Genomics Aotearoa is doing genetic analyses to support effective management.

Look alive Texas!

These stunning jellies, called "blue button," are washing ashore near you. They float on the ocean's surface like bubbles, & are extremely rare because they're normally found far from shore. But we're seeing reports form Padre Island and Corpus Christi this week! 🧪 #Texas

Being a palaeoartist and an active palaeontologist, is a blessing and a curse. You can create your own artworks to accompany your research, but, you don't get paid for it, it's additional workload you have to quickly squeeze into your schedule, your artistic mishaps will be scrutinised more.
