It is not an exaggeration to say that lives are at stake here. Severe weather season is rapidly approaching. Fewer personnel can and will lead to a lack of awareness of all kinds of weather hazards. Tornadoes. Floods. Winter storms. All of it.

Prepping a talk to a 6th grade science class about wx instrumentation, forecasting, and what mets do. This is SO MUCH FUN and I love that I'm getting a reputation as "weather mom" at my kid's school.
