Waskom, TX–Blanchard, LA EF3 #Tornado – Jan 20, 2010! This EF3 tracked from Harrison County, TX, into Caddo Parish, LA. Homes & businesses were destroyed near I-20, metal buildings collapsed near Jonesville, winds estimated at 150–160 mph before the tornado weakened near Blanchard. buff.ly/ArnWjZe

Sumter County, GA F2 #Tornado – January 15, 1971! One of ten tornadoes that day, this storm was the only one to cause a fatality. A mobile home being towed was blown onto a tractor-trailer cab, killing the driver. Trees were downed, and a boathouse was destroyed at Lake Blackshear. buff.ly/AHVkZNY
