Corporate-style icebreaker jump scare 😱: tell us a fun fact about you, the author!
This is meant to be fun, so if "fun facts" make you cringe, feel free to adjust this prompt. You could do two truths and a lie, or just give us a non-personal fun fact that brings you joy.
The work IS the joy for me. I don’t want to be able to snap my fingers and have a completed “product.” I want to be transformed by the process. I’m an author but I do this because I enjoy the rigor of being a writer.
if they really loved it, they'd be posting about it without your permission
This week's theme is COLORS! Tell me about something in your world that's PURPLE. Do you use it symbolically? Do you have anything special in your worldbuilding that's purple? Maybe an animal, jewels, a garment, a flower, or something more strange and magical?
Yeah, your Antagonist has flaws, but what are some green flags of theirs?
🟩
Can't think of any/not applicable to your villain? What would THEY say are their green flags?
Not a person, but a construct/idea? What do proponents say?
Current read: A Children’s Bible by Lydia Millet. It’s definitely interesting. Haven’t read anything like it before.
Next read: Haven’t decided yet.

We're talking about colors in our worlds! Tell me about something in your world that's YELLOW or ORANGE? I find that these two are often underrated/underused in worldbuilding, so I'd love to hear what you have. Maybe something symbolic of the sun or made of gold?
Ok, meta question today! Do you think about your characters only when you are writing their story?
Or do you think about them at other times and in other situations, even if you never write about it?

I started writing stories as soon as I learned to read and write as a kid.
