I can’t snap, whistle, or cross my eyes
my levels of energy on any given day fluctuate between properly capitalizing words in my posts and using commas and periods or confusing ramblings in all lowercase with no punctuation in all the land

This is what I don't get about people who use AI. The whole point of writing is writing. Like ... what are you even doing here if you don't like writing? Go cook. Go hiking. Go ride a bike. Go play a video game. If you don't like writing ... then don't? But you can't claim a title you did not earn.
That’s the other thing that baffles me about AI and creative writing, actually.
The work IS the joy for me. I don’t want to be able to snap my fingers and have a completed “product.” I want to be transformed by the process. I’m an author but I do this because I enjoy the rigor of being a writer.

In terms of process, I enjoy writing but revising????? Oh, that’s my real kink. A second or third draft???? A fourth???? Making tweaks on my desktop AND my phone???? *moans* I’m a WHORE for revision.

Save the Cat Writes a Novel (and the original one meant for screenwriters) was incredibly helpful for finding a system for planning my writing. Taking creative writing workshops helped a good bit too.

Re indie marketing scams: if someone is asking you if they can review your book, they want money for it
