This.

My congresspeople are irredeemable maga. I still call to keep them aware of what they should be doing. And keep them uncomfortable.
For those saying “oh but the cabinet are all sycophants.” Yes. We know.

It’s called PRESSURE. You pressure the system until something gives. Micro cracks in the wall until some bricks start to come loose.
The 25th Amendment must be invoked by the cabinet. I’m all for pressuring them. Congressional Dems should lead the charge. Not on Bluesky or Threads. Let’s do it.

the minnesota occupation is, i think, already a political defeat for the administration, and i don't see how it eventually ends as anything other than a major political disaster

For all who think they know JD Vance’s history, you might want to refresh your memory. Please save this🧵so you can teach others & refresh your memory about what a terrible person he is. Please share how his past & present beliefs don’t mesh w/ those of the democracy we support!

Here’s a thread about the vice president and why he’s a threat to your freedom.
You may know some or all of these facts, but I thought it might help to put the damning details in one place. 1/11

I hate how the national political media has failed us, but a Google search shows dozens of news articles about this specific topic. Do a fuckin online search.
We had endless articles and TV clips about Biden's mental capacity but silence about Trump's obvious unfitness when he says he's going to start a war with Denmark over Greenland because he didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize.
Not the sort of letter committed to paper by a well man. "Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace"

Awesome!
If you live in the Cities, an easy way to help immigrant families in hiding is: laundry! Laundromats are ICE magnets, so people without washers need help.

The People’s Laundry will drop off laundry to your door to wash and dry and pick up a few days later:

Minneapolis and Saint Paul have basically mobilized into a war economy of mutual aid and non-violent defense. I’ve never seen anything like it, even during Covid. People who barely vote are guarding their schools from ICE and doing the shopping for neighbors in hiding.
This is so smart. I’m so impressed with all the different ways you’re helping your neighbors.

I agree it should have been implemented a year ago.

But would it have been covered past the first day or two?
The shadow cabinet idea was a great idea and should have been implemented a year ago. Would have presented an organized, unified response to the chaos, issue by issue, by people with expertise.
Democrats could act like a real opposition party, refusing to validate Trump malfeasance with votes, and setting up a shadow cabinet that regularly communicates how Democrats would be different. But nah.

It’s not only a majority of Democratic voters that hate this approach. US allies see it too.
