This case wasn’t even on my radar. So this guy had to go to court to get ICE not to arrest and detain him on the way to the airport where he’s planning on leaving the country?!
Wow. I'm in federal court for Ercelik v. Hyde, the Amherst student w/ state criminal charges (dismissed this morning) where ICE camped outside his apartment for a month trying to arrest him.
He wants to leave on a flight for Turkey@9:35pm, ICE wants to hold him for weeks/months before removing him.
