I’m baffled by folks saying this move was motivated by a fear of killing the filibuster. You mean the thing the Republicans are the only ones to use effectively because THEY don’t cave? That thing is worth caving for so THEY can use it effectively in the future?

I don't call often. I just left Angus King a detailed voicemail. The sample script in this post is a useful starter-- you can just look up your senator's number and call them direct.
