Longhorns, Bayern, politics, finance?
This is Sellers’ first game at QB, right?

That SC blocking on 4th down was atrocious. You can’t ask a guy to reach block at the point of attack. Just double him. By the time the LB gets there either combo off him or let the RB make a play.

Just brutal play design.

Can’t be giving up 4th and 12 with no spy.

Beamer, my man, hire someone who knows how clocks work. How did you manage to only run two plays and still have to kick off?

@brendelbored.bsky.social new magician movie is out and it rips. And it seems they are well on their way to making a dozen more.

Partially it’s this, but a big part is that they are scared more than they are ambitious. Avoiding change is more important to them than accomplishing their goals - so they love the filibuster.

So they are happy to keep mostly losing to avoid, they hope, bigger changes.
i don’t think people realize how straight up delusional a solid proportion of democratic senators are regarding our politics. i don’t mean that as hyperbole. they are actually untethered from reality
I think this helpfully confirms the notion that the end of the filibuster was a big motivator for the eight Dems.

I am sorry Justin Fields has 48 fumbles since 2021?!?

Honestly that hardly seems possible. In any given game he is more likely to fumble than not?

This happened to me just after my wife and I got married. Her family was coming to Boston to spend the holiday with us.

Tested on a cheap one from Stop & Shop and it was incredible. Bought a fancy one for the real day.

Fine but nowhere near as good as that tester.
I asked my husband to make a test small turkey to practice for our first time hosting Thanksgiving, and then he made the best baked turkey I've ever had

Intrigued by the Pats strategy of simply refusing to hurry and just letting time run down instead.

I’m breaking some news here but it seems Drake Maye is pretty good.

The fan disconnect required to approve that trade is absolutely damning.

They didn't get that a city that stuck with Dirk, now a hero of the city, had found Dirk 2.0 and were committed to seeing Luka win a ring here. And I'm not sure how they missed it.
Nico Harrison blew it. He should have known better. But firing him after signing off on the Luka debacle shows that Patrick Dumont and the Adelson ownership group didn’t know better and have no idea what they’re doing. That’s worse

I think this is going to cause even more problems with passage.

I go to a lot of movies (really liked Bugonia this weekend). I’m pretty online.

This is literally the first I have heard of this movie.
“.. ‘CHRISTY’, starring Sydney Sweeney, had one of the worst opening weekends of all time for a movie released in 2,000+ theaters.”

One of the things this shutdown makes clear is we don’t have enough sports fans in Dem leadership. No one wants to be on the team of do-nothing losers.

Republicans are appalling, but they do stuff and brag about it. It makes them feel like the winning team. Dems don’t seem to get that this matters
the angry base has been right and the savvy "calm down" caucus has been wrong every step of the way for the last 10 years

One of the most depressing things about the COVID economic response is that it isn’t ever going to happen again.

It made millions of lives better, and voters hated it. So next time we will just get suffering.
November 9, 2025 at 10:14 PM
Right - how does any Dem not want “Trump illegally starves poor people” to hit public awareness? They are desperate to show voters how heinous they are and Dems seem to be saying “nah.”
Trump is punishing people for being poor and hungry and we're gonna just keep letting that go? Who the fuck thinks he's gonna fund SNAP when the government is open again? The fucking courts told him he had to end even THAT wasn't good enough. He's suing to be allowed to starve people
I hope everyone who was insisting two days ago that Schumer was playing 10D chess is having a lovely Sunday

Also, this is so politically toxic that Texas Republicans failed twice to get it done this year.
make no mistake here that the money behind killing all the casual hemp retail stuff is the slimeball alcohol barons. fighting to kill any consumer alternatives to their newly classified carcinogenic product.
Language in the bill may destroy the $70b Hemp industry and 325k jobs

Ok I always root for Bama to lose, but LSU you are making this impossible to cheer for.

Vandy really caught a break on that 3rd down- just a blatant hold in the backfield.

That sure looked like Oregon got away with an offensive PI (pick play) that would have pushed them back out of field goal range.

I coach a 2nd grade flag football team and get pretty frustrated when they cannot remember a play we just discussed and looked at a diagram of 10 seconds ago.

Thanks to Iowa for providing some perspective on 3rd and goal.
