Longhorns, Bayern, politics, finance?

It’s also, uh…not particularly accurate.

It's nice to get confirmation that these people are as clueless as we view them to be.

Also love the post-script about Bari just peacing out because, I would assume, the true nature of the project became too obvious for her to be involved and maintain her fake neutrality.

Ha I took a screenshot as I was reading through it. What do you bet by the time I finish the article I disagree with that sentence...

Also I am not sure that the MAGA base is, in fact, against honor killings.

We had to pause and replay to make sure we saw this right.
Michael Rapaport eats exactly how you think he would

Not a story where I expected a "yes, and..."

Can you state this clearly? Trump is right to threaten Canada because they are allowing their citizens to buy cheap EVs that they want?

I feel like I must be missing something.

Not a great day for sexual misconduct allegations if you look like this…

A place by me has up charges for BOTH all drums and all flats. Help me understand.

This is likely driven by lack of snow.

Look it may be the official sports app but we gotta get everyone up to speed on the lingo.
January 14, 2026 at 5:46 PM
It’s not very good. But man is it memorable.

“Sometimes I doubt your commitment to sparkle motion” is a line my wife and I still use in normal conversation.

He should be in everything, but yes!

It’s the lead-in to Tennis Night in America.

Very funny that this dynamic is also going to win Best Picture.
January 13, 2026 at 11:10 PM
What is the evidence that detailed, specific policy work like this actually leads to voter persuasion and winning elections?

The 2016 and 2024 Presidential elections seem like very strong counter-evidence on that point.
January 13, 2026 at 6:31 PM
And history has shown that, in fact, Trump is NOT a typical Republican. He shares some traits but is much worse.

The Tom Cruise makeup creates this strong uncanny valley. Makeup with gray hair, older look, but his face still moves 20 years younger than what we are used to now. Manages to look wrong both directions.

Sitting down with COLLATERAL this evening. I haven’t seen this movie since it was in theaters. Remember nothing other than college me liked it.

Already had Jason Statham and Debi Mazar in bit parts.

It’s incredible. Perfidia is, like, an aspirational goal for that woman. And I am not complimenting Perfidia here. But at least she got out in the world and did something.

You know how they get people with CTE to donate their brains for study?

Batya should do that.

A fun addendum to this - think about all the guns and, apparently, artillery (?) the F75 have.

When Bob asks the Sensei for a gun he gets an old hunting rifle from under the bed. There’s no arsenal behind the Senseis operation, because that’s not what works.

But he is a great man! I think that’s such a key part of the movie.

And in hindsight, the deference he shows to the French 75 reads as very tongue in cheek. He’s the guy actually doing it. He’s the hero they all wanted to be.

But quietly, and by taking care of his neighbors.

I feel like you may have also read this today, and it’s a hall of famer in the lack of self awareness Olympics.
