The cure to the loneliness epidemic is just liking things.
There's a whole generation that learned irony before sincerity and now they're trapped. Can't be earnest without a layer of self-deprecation. Can't be enthusiastic without signaling awareness of how cringe enthusiasm is.

The price of never being vulnerable is never connecting.

We’ve got an election in just eight days, and there are important contests everywhere. I’m focusing on three states today — California, New Jersey, and Virginia — to see where things stand. The news is decent! My write-up is in the replies.

Sewing pattern makers who use GenAI for the finished garment images should be kicked off of every platform for fraud. If you, as the creator, can’t make the garment and take a photo of it, you shouldn’t be selling the pattern.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

A sentiment I've seen expressed by someone in support of AI art was "I've seen handmade furry art that's so much worse than generated images"

being an artist is a journey, you can't separate improvement from the journey, and you can't improve without starting somewhere that doesn't satisfy you

Over 2.3 million confirmed so far and the rural wave is real. We were tracking ~3,000 events, but small towns across the country are pouring in with numbers we hadn’t included. A submission portal for city + attendance is coming soon. All counts will be double-certified before the final release.

There was an incredible turnout across small-town USA! Many events weren’t even on our radar. Our coalition initially tracked around 3,000 events, but the number has now surged past 4,000 and counting.

It's kinda cool that Gary Larson is doing new cartoons because he picked up a digital tablet, taught himself how to use it, and it made him love drawing again.

My book comes out in less than 6 weeks!
Question: Who do you go to for book reviews when deciding on a book?
Is it word of mouth? Reviews on Amazon/B&N? Goodreads?

Should I be sending copies to anyone for reviews?

How do you weaken fear-propaganda—the power grip of authoritarians?

Why is the regime so scared of today?

The official slogan of the ‘No Kings’ protests is “I have friends everywhere” from Andor and I may just be a simple God but that is fucking badass.

I've received a lot of criticism for expressing my support, but what's more important is that all transgender people live happy lives.

Just found out my dad (over 60) hate-listens to local right-wing media and calls the station nearly every day while he's driving (he's a trucker) just to argue with them.

I am my father's child.
