My entire personality is going to be Vancouver Fashion Week for the foreseeable future. This show was such a big achievement for me, and I’m overjoyed by how well it went. My designs looked unbelievable out there!!

My latest read on the treadmill is “Play Nice” by Jason Schreier, and boy oh boy it’s bringing back a lot of memories (trauma) that reaffirm my decision to leave the game industry.

Last month, I got tired of feeling both physically and mentally shitty, and started going back to the gym regularly. I’ve been using library ebooks to motivate me to put in about 15-20km on the treadmill per week, on top of my weights routine.

Since mid-December, I’ve read 7 books!

I’ve been fighting with getting a successful print on my 3D printer and properly fitting a pants pattern to my weird body all day, so I’m glad I managed a win in the form of the most incredible pan of chicken stew and dumplings I’ve ever made.
You’ve gotta have at least ONE win to keep you going.

This is true of all creative endeavours. Weathering the slog and finishing work is an absolutely key practice. Get good at that and everything else will follow.
after writing and drawing the third skill of making comics is weathering the slog, and ultimately finishing it, and this is the hardest and most important part lmao. and needs to be practiced just as hard as the other two. and you’ll get better at the other two by practicing the third

Did the first big clean and first grocery shop of the new year, and I’m feeling energized by both in the way that only a 40 year old homebody could be.

Separate post for the little dog sculpture I made for my parents, but especially my dad, of their new puppy Ziggy who is my dad’s new little buddy after his beloved dog of 13 years passed away earlier this year. ❤️ I’m so happy with how this turned out.

Going into a holiday gathering with the in-laws wishing, in the spirit of the “Ask Me About LOOM” pin from Monkey Island, that I had one that says “Don’t Ask Me About My Job Prospects After Graduating”.

I finally finished and wrapped the last of the handmade Christmas presents and let me just say: I’m shopping next year. 💀 I made five presents and I don’t know how people’s grandmas do this.

Low-spoiler thoughts on the latest Stranger Things episodes:
- Boy those sure were some Middle Episodes
- Another hateful outfit for Eleven, I’m screaming that she’s going into the final battle in a wetsuit and sweatpants.
- There are too many characters in play and they just keep adding more
