Reading the reflections on Joe Strummer on the anniversary of his death.
Joe was the greatest front man I've ever seen. Unlike the others who top polls, Joe was authentic. The Clash were authentic.

This evening I've been listening to The Clash & Bowie. The Clash speak to me as my life is. Bowie about how life could be. Both equally valid.

The British state is really good at one thing-Making sure that those at the top are never held accountable when disaster happens. From Aberfan to Ibrox and from Hillsborough to Grenfell the sure and certain thing is that those responsible are never punished. #r4today

But I'll try anyway.

Somewhere on this planet is The Worst Human. It stands to reason one of us is The Worst One. Logically, somebody has to be.

And it's this cunt, isn't it.

If you weren't there, just a little clarification on that Spectator piece.

Literally, NOBODY admired Hitler. Apart from nazis.

Hope that helps.

Rising racism blamed for collapse in number of foreign nurses coming to UK.

UKIP/Reform/Farage damaged the economy with Brexit, now destroying the NHS.

The UK is an ageing society, without immigration the economy can't function. Will we ever get an honest debate?

It's Farage at his absolute weakest - thin-skinned, easy to offend, and nurturing a persecution complex.

He’s a vile man, no intellectual ability, just attacks anyone who disagrees with him.

A Trumpian drip.

That is a bit too young for my liking...it must have been triggered by my wife having Teddy Swims on for what seemed forever.

Grenfell as well. And many others instances. Nobody is prosecuted. The powerful protect each other.
As per fucking usual. Cops lie. Press lie. MPs lie. Families campaign in pain and anger. The truth comes out and no one, NO ONE gets punished no cops go to jail. Again and again and again it’s the same story but what is wrong with the justice system? Too many jury trials.

Hillsborough, the Post office, Grenfell all to the same template.
The Hillsborough Disaster was a textbook example of the way the UK state behaves after such an event. Protect those in positions of power, leak stories to the media to protect the same and then delay, delay, delay for decades. It all worked 'very well' didn't it? No justice for the 97 at all.

Can’t remember budget ‘case studies’ ever being quite so funny. Especially in newspapers that recently anointed Liz Truss a fiscal genius.
Wow - this guy must be really, REALLY bad with money if an extra £208 per month will “ruin” his retirement.

Let’s take a look at his situation based on what he told the @Telegraph

Because this does NOT add up!

No, this is not a “poor pensioner” scrabbling around for pennies…

There comes a point where the criticism of Labour from the usual right wing sources becomes so hysterical, partial and nonsensical that it can be ignored. It's just noise.
That point is now.

Tory immigration policy - ruinous, prejudiced madness.
Tory Brexit ideology - ruinous, prejudiced madness.

Why Labour is killing itself and the country to try to soothe the unsoothable rightwing media is beyond me. Tell the goddam truth. Publish the damage. Only then can you start to fix it.
