Opposing NATO expansion is a nonsensical policy. If countries want to join it, they can. Nobody's twisting their arms. Not sure what "non-militarised" security involves

police refusal to act on stuff like this - stolen phones in central london, buried in a known location daily to be retrieved later - is really corrosive to any sense of public trust.

I have to admit that I do admire how low-budget the Irish Presidential election all is. It might be at Dublin Castle but this is still just up from having it at a leisure centre in Basingstoke.

Always enjoy talking to Hannah on here, but this observation in particular is a real missing tooth of a “I really wish I’d thought of this and written it”, on how Brexit accelerated so many parliamentary careers.
Wheras for Badenoch ten more years would have either put paid to her via a dumb scandal or have seen here consigned to the fringe, and Starmer would have never risen beyond cabinet minister.
This is all still the echoing consequences of one bad vote in 2016.
